Haven for Hope
An organization local to our headquarters in San Antonio, Haven for Hope's mission is to serve those in need with compassion, respect, and dignity: every human falls, and from time to time, any of us may need help getting back on our feet. Through outreach programs, providing safe shelter and warm meals, Veteran services, and through their Transformational Campus that collaborates with guests to develop important skills that will help an individual end their experience of being unhoused with long-term solutions, Have for Hope is an organization that positively impacts our community. We are thankful for the opportunity to be a financial contributor to this organization.
Johnson High School: Jaguar Pride Association
The Jaguar Pride Association's mission is to support the development and participation of athletic programs at Claudia T. Johnson High School, creating opportunities for student-athletes to develop skills in the physical, mental, academic, social, and spiritual aspects of their lives. Each spring, a scholarship is provided for eligible Senior athletes to recognize outstanding student-athletes. The JagBash is an event for adults that provides an opportunity to support this scholarship and connect with others in our community. We are pleased to be the Lone Star Title Sponsor for 2022's Jaguar Pride Association's JagBash.
Basketball Embassy Golf Tournament
"Building community, empowering emerging leaders and uniting people from all backgrounds through basketball:" By visiting 30 counties, staging 90 international camps, and impacting the lives of over 25,000 children, the Basketball Embassy reaches at-risk and unhoused youth through a shared athletic passion. Serving as more than a platform for developing basketball skills, this organization strives to provide athletes and coaches across nations, cultures, and backgrounds with a platform for success in the game of life. Vidal Construction is proud to have sponsored the Basketball Embassy Golf Tournament to raise funds for this international organization.
San Antonio Hispanic Police Officers Organization
Also known as SAHPOO, this non-profit organization hosts local events and volunteer opportunities to better serve the San Antonio community. The annual golf tournament raises funds to provide scholarships for seniors in the area, thus developing strong ties and relationships and another way to serve the community the police officers interact with on a daily basis. Our very own Joey Vidal is a member of this organization, and we are a proud recurring platinum sponsor of SAHPOO's annual scholarship tournament.
